"Tattooing, Plastic Surgery Not Sin Before God" -Pastor Chris Okotie

Reports say former presidential aspirant, Pastor Chris Okotie at a service held on Sunday January 13th at his church auditorium, Household of God Church said that tattooing their body or even undergoing plastic surgery is not a sin before God.

According to reports, the pastor said a lot of people misinterpret a scripture in the bible which is supposedly against body art and enhancement. He said getting tattoos and plastic surgery is an individual decision and has nothing to do with God.

A lot of people however disagreed with the pastor’s position on tattoos and plastic surgery, his church members inclusive; more reason  a regular Sunday sermon has become a talking point today.

It is not unusual for people and even church members to disagree with their pastor’s views. We understand differently, but Pastor Okotie’s antecedents have brought up not-so-good comments following a sermon, one of the many he gives every year.

This must Be The Leaked Picture Of Nkiru Sylvanus' Secret Wedding To Presidential aide

It was reported yesterday that Nkiru married the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Umar Sani, as second wife just a week after she was released by kidnappers. The report also claimed it was Mallam Sani that paid the N8million ransom money.

Mallam Umar Sani has reacted to the report, calling it ridiculous and a figment of the writer’s imagination.
“The report is very funny. How can you marry somebody you have not seen for over three months? The last time I saw her was in September so how can a marriage take place when the subject matters have not seen each other? I have not married Nkiru Sylvanus and if a wedding of such took place, people should be able to name the place, date and time. It is not true”. He told reporters at the Presidential Villa in Abuja yesterday.

Man (55) scares 13-year-old girl with his strong and muscled sexual 'black mamba'.

A 55-year-old man has been thrown behind bars for four months after he scared a 13-year-old girl with his sexual 'black mamba'.

Golden Enerst Michael exposed his erected 'joystick' to a minor inviting her to have sex with him but she was shocked since she had never seen such a 'humha' before.

The seemingly sex starved man pleaded guilty to the charge of public indecency when he appeared before Mbare magistrate Precious Muzondo. Magistrate Muzondo, however, slapped him with a five-month jail term before suspending one month from five months on condition of good behaviour. The remaining four months shall be effective.

State counsel Lawrence Gangarahwe had it that on 1 January this year at around 6pm, the minor was sent by her mother's friend to take a cellphone that was on the charger and also check if everything was intact in the house. Unfortunately, she entered the yard and saw Enerst who asked her some questions as he tried to bring her close to him.

During the process, he dropped his trousers and exposed his 'sperm spitting cobra' inviting the little inocent girl to come and play with his 'dangling joystick'.

The 'pure from sexual sin' girl could not accept the offer and was frightened after seeing the lengthy 'sausage-like' piece of flesh. She immediately ran for her dear life while CRYING for help.

Fortunately, the little girl managed to escape and advised her mother about the 'play with my banana' encounter, prompting the mum to report the matter to the police.

9 things that make a guy romantic

For some time now, I have been of the opinion that ladies need to make up their mind when it comes to how they judge a guy to be ‘romantic’. Back in school, I discovered they all had divergent views and standards, which made it all so confusing. I told my female friends “You all need to arrive at a few things guys can remember and everybody is happy”.
On behalf of all dudes who have been accused of not being romantic, I have sampled the opinion of different ladies and I bring it to you for assessment. I hope we don’t have to set up a committee to look into these responses:
1. His ability to make a woman feel like the only one in the world when there are millions. He must also remember important dates.
2. He should be understanding and be my best friend more than any other person. He should also do little things to make me happy.
3. He should call first thing in the morning and last thing at night. He should be caring, nice, kind, generous and lend a helping hand always.
4. The words he says and the way he holds a lady.
5. He should be sensitive to my needs. Read my body language and respond accordingly. He should also be spontaneous with surprises.
6. He should be a good listener and be sensitive.
7. He should give her gifts, help around the house, call her pet names and show her off to all and sundry.
8. He should always spend quality time with her, make her a priority and be good at springing up good surprises.
The last but not the least and my personal favourite of all the responses I received:
9. Less stupidity.
There you have it gentlemen, feel free to punch holes. Ladies we will appreciate more responses.

‘Nollywood Is Dead’ – Emeka Ike(read complete interview)

He has been regarded as a rebel in different quarters for his supposed anti-progressive stand on the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria, but in this interview, the Imo state born actor talks extensively about Nollywood, why he feels misunderstood by colleagues, and his plans for the guild.
Let’s start with your chieftaincy title. Why do you think you were made Ezekwesili in Anambra state, far from your home state of Imo?
I don’t know exactly what it is but perhaps it is in recognition of my efforts to make things better. It was not until I took the title home that I discovered I’m from a royal family too, although I didn’t get the title from my place. My father is the Opara-di-Opara (the man that gets to have the first anything in that community) of my village in Imo state.
What are the effects having this title has had on you?
Nothing has changed. I have just become more socially responsible and responsive to the society, humanity. It also gave me a leadership frame and helped me see myself as someone with a class of respect.
What is your take on traditional rulers in Nigeria?
I don’t have anything against traditional authority in any way. Whatever promotes humanity and redefines life are the things I want to be part of and support. If being a king will add value to humanity, I think it is my passion.
Away from that, why are you yet to return to the movies?
I’m not the only one who is missing in action. A lot of us are but perhaps I get noticed more because maybe I am most loved. We all parade ourselves as stars but we know stars have levels. Away from that, I am not the only one involved. Have you bothered to ask when last you heard of Oba Iweka road or of Idumota or Pound road in Aba? That was the last time we stopped being paid.
How do you mean?
As you can see, the investors in the movie industry (Bayowa Films, Remmy Jes, Kas Vid) have been run over by the TV houses, no thanks to some of my colleagues. Nollywood has been taken over and it is evident.
Did some players in the movie industry know about this alleged takeover?
Of course they did. They sold out to the TV houses and that has become the Nollywood we now talk about. Nollywood now exists only on Africa Magic, owned by South Africans. Meanwhile, while we were struggling to put the industry together, they (South African investors) were not around, but now they show our Nollywood movies and play their country’s soundtrack. They go as far as try to bring up their new faces and play him up with a stupid star and try to create a somebody out of him. That way they are building their stars, Jacob’s Cross, Tinsel and so on.
What efforts were made to preserve Nollywood’s integrity?
At a time, Charles Novia came boldly to say that very soon all the stars would be gone. This was because he knew what they had done. They had mortgaged the future of the industry making cheap benefits. There was a time we attended a conference in South Africa and these people (South Africans) were inquisitive, probing and wanting to know about how we make our movies. While I was speaking like a patriotic Nigerian, arguing against letting our strategies out, some of my colleagues quietly sold out, exchanging cards and numbers with them. Unknown to them, they were selling out. When I said then that Africa Magic was ripping actors and producers off, people said I was crazy, some of my colleagues were paid to put up words against my claim. Now, plenty of them have been forced out of the job, because people who pay and invest in the movies are no longer in business.
Were the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Association of Movie Producers and Directors Guild of Nigeria not aware of these developments?
It got to a point all efforts to salvage the situation became impossible because there was so much politicking going on. First, their content provider, Emeka Mba was lobbied to becoming the DG of the Censorship board, not forgetting he was one of those who brought them into Nigeria. Mba’s position paved the way for them and made their business smooth. They needed to close down Nollywood to make TV more viable than it was, and that was when Emeka came up with the idea of every producer paying a sum of five million naira before their movies could get to the market. That was how it started and gradually some started falling off and a lot more were arrested for defaulting. Till tomorrow, I will keep calling Emeka Mba a criminal and I’ll never forgive [him] because he destroyed the interest of the industry for personal reasons. He was one of those who owned HITV, but shame on him.
Apart from job loss, what other impact has this alleged invasion caused Nollywood?
A lot, and most are negative. Now there is no more Infinity Merchandise, P. Collins, O.C Affassons and other big names we knew in those days. Places where Nollywood movies were readily available, like Idumota, Oba Iweka road, and Pound road, Aba have been shut down, leaving only Alaba in existence. Alaba; a place we all, as an industry, tried to close down. The invasion has been on for a long time, it has put the industry in a state of coma, and has finally killed it. Nollywood is dead and this is so because we are never going to have a big producer roll out money anymore or visioneers bring out money to invest. What we are going to keep having are scallywags and cheap production assistants running around to see how to put ten faces together and see if they can make at least fifteen thousand jacket sales.
But some of your colleagues seem to be enjoying the industry despite the challenges you have mentioned. Where does this place you?
They are not asking the right questions. I stood as Emeka Ike and made over a million jacket sales, only me, without putting twenty actors on one jacket. The cheap illiterates amongst my colleagues antagonize me, and I don’t blame them; I blame myself for mingling with them. I look at most of them (colleagues) and I begin to imagine the content in most of them. Most of them wear dark shades and parade themselves like they are more than they are. What are they worth when they don’t even know their rights in the industry, but go about posing on red carpets with dark shades and speak [with] some accent that was never properly learnt? All those are cheap ways of life. These guys don’t ask questions about what we are doing as a guild or an industry, and the few that do are labelled troublemakers. That is the mentality in Nigeria. Gani Fawehinmi was seen as a trouble maker till he died, same as Fela. These are the people who bring about change in their communities.
You vied to become president of AGN, but lost. If you had won, what would have been your focal point?
I am still the president of AGN, the legal president, but because of my stand, it is difficult to let men like me survive it, because if we do, we will destroy these evil men who run the system. The same thing is applicable in the wider world; responsible men are running away from politics, which is why a lot of riff-raffs are making headway in it. We need to redefine what  value is to us. It’s not the dark shades and the glittering dresses but what adds to humanity, and we should be able to draw the line between what is value and what is not.
What is your take on Ibinabo Fiberisima as president of the guild?
Her swearing in was illegal. How can she be president? Please tell me. There is a court case yet to be settled involving myself and Segun Arinze. How then can he conduct an election? Again, Ibinabo has not been cleared with the police. I don’t know what is happening. Are these things supposed to be? The president ordered that all recipients of national honours that have criminal records should be stripped of them, and that is how it should be. We should run things right, at least for the sake of our children and ones yet unborn.
What would you say the guild is lacking?
Leadership. We have everything right now, and the few idiots that discovered this have quickly gone to register the guild as their personal companies. Do you even know that the AGN was originally registered as a company for individuals with just five board of trustee members? Most people don’t know this fact, including my colleagues. These are the things we are fighting against. While fighting to remove these guys, they appointed Segun (Arinze) as their president. I challenged this and took them to court but they broke the court’s injunction and conducted another election. You see the gimmicking of old politicians? That is what we are fighting, not Segun Arinze. He is my friend, so is Ibinabo, but we have to do right thing in this country; that is the only way a future can be built.
When did these problems begin for Nollywood?
It [has been] from the beginning. I’m sure not many know that the first president of AGN, Remmy Jes, was flogged out of office by the board of trustees. They used cultism and all other means. This is painful for me because I am one of those that fought for the name. When you say Nollywood, you can’t leave Emeka Ike out of it. I can’t keep quiet, although a lot of people may because they are scared for their careers, but I am a leader and will be their spokesman. People like me, who have the goodwill of the country at heart should not be afraid of coming out.
On a final note, Nollywood will be 21 this year. What do you think about its’ direction?
Nollywood is not going in the right direction, People saying that are people who are just happy that they have benefited from it. How can you say an industry that has its structure destroyed is in the right direction? We already made an impression on the world. All that was left was the technical know-how and government empowering us. We couldn’t get that, but rather got big foreigners who hijacked the gold from us.

T.R.O.U.B.L.E: Kanye West Set To Drop D`banj From G.O.O.D Music

It is now being speculated within the music industry in hush tones that DBanj may been shown the exit door at Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music label which DBanj claims he is still at. According to information gathered from reports and some industry sources, all may not be too well between DBanj and his American boss.

What Nigeriafilms.com scooped reveals that Kanye was never happy with the split between DBanj and Don Jazzy in early 2012. We gathered that Kanye actually signed Don Jazzy to produce DBanj for his record label, but with the split between them, it was no longer possible for Don Jazzy to perform his obligation of making ‘good’ beats for DBanj.

Now that DBanj took a step further to sign J-Sleek as his music producer, what sources in DBanj’s camp reveal to industry sources is that Kanye is not pleased with J-Sleek’s production prowess and he sees DBanj’s new collection of songs as weak.

What some tale-bearers are saying now is that Kanye is disappointed at DBanj as his (Kanye)initial quest of storming African music through the duo of former Mohits Records is has been defeated and D’Banj’s new singles are no where match what convinced him to sign on the two African superstars when he signed them in 2011.

There are indications that DBanj may consider reconciling with Don Jazzy or lose his deal with Kanye. Though we couldn’t confirm if D’Banj would consider the first option as we were told that his (D’Banj) ego might be a big obstacle is making the first option become a reality.

AFCON 2013: Reasons why a lot of Nigerians may miss out on live games

Owing by the way Confederation of African Football(CAF) sold its TV rights,Nigerians might not be able to watch the 2013 African Nations Cup on terrestrial TV(local stations).
It is understood that the rights owners, Sportfive, are asking for astronomical figures, before local channels can beam live the competition,in the Nigerian terrain.
SportsFive are insisting on €6M fee,for Nigeria alone, which is a high figure for Nigerian TV stations to part with.
If the Broadcasting Association of Nigeria(BON) does not meet the financial demands, required for the acquisition of the rights, then Nigerians would resort to satellite decoders,if they wish to view the tournament.
Since CAF sold its TV rights to the current holders,Sportfive,Africans have been having difficulties watching their national teams.
For instance, virtually all the away matches of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, during the 2013 Nations Cup and 2014 World Cup qualifiers last year, were not shown on TV,here in Nigeria.

The moment Guardiola snubbed Ronaldo at Ballon D’Or 2012

Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra, John Terry and Anton Ferdinand, Samir Nasri and William Gallas, Terry (again) and Wayne Bridge, and now Pep Guardiola and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The snubbed handshake is fast becoming football’s equivalent of unfriending someone on Facebook.
But while previous examples have had their origins in personal slights, it seems the latest entry to the list has its origins in good old fashioned club rivalry.
Tensions between Real Madrid and Barcelona are well known. Styles, cultures and attitudes both on and off the field are all wildly different and with the competitive edge thrown in, it makes for a fractious relationship.
One can only speculate on the reason behind Guardiola’s seemingly deliberate decision to ignore Ronaldo, though with the recent history in El Clasico gives a pretty large hint.
Red cards, close games, touchline clashes, title clinchers and cup finals have all made the meeting of Spain’s top two the most enticing of matches in world football.
But when former Barca boss Guardiola was approached by Madrid ace Ronaldo, the Spaniard stared for a second before turning away, leaving the Portuguese’s hand hanging in the air.
The look on Ronaldo’s face told a story of bemusement, while Pep went back to soaking up the atmosphere.

David Beckham to announce next club next week after receiving 12 offers

David Beckham is set to make a decision on his future next week after having received 12 formal offers from around the world, but he will base his family in London wherever he ends up.
According to widespread reports, Beckham, 37, will hold a series of meetings on the next direction of his playing career with advisors next week.
The former England international, who has been without a club since his contract ended at Los Angeles Galaxy last month, is considering offers from Europe, South America, North America, South Africa, Russia, China and the Middle East – though not in Qatar as earlier believed.
Despite the decision to base his family in London for the benefit of his children’s schooling, the ex-Manchester United man, who has been linked with moves to both West Ham and Queens Park Rangers, is not expected to make a return to the Premier League.
Beckham has become the most in-demand player in the planet, having been linked with a number of sides around the world, including the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Melbourne Heart to name just a few.
Beckham ended his five-and-a-half year stint at Galaxy in December, having inspired them to two MLS Cups, while the midfielder still has ambitions to own an MLS franchise one day.
Beckham’s glittering career has seen him play for United, Real Madrid and Galaxy, as well as completing loan spells at both Preston and AC Milan. He is also England’s most capped outfield player, having represented his country 115 times.

Nigeria’s University of Benin unveils ‘cure’ for HIV/AIDS

A cure for Human Immunodeficiency Virus, HIV, and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome, AIDS, has been discovered, a Professor at the University of Benin said on Tuesday.

Isaiah Ibeh, the Dean of the School of Basic Medical Science of the University, said in Benin that the herbal drug has undergone “series of successful tests”.

“We are at the threshold of making history, in the sense that we seem to have with us something that will permanently take care of what over time seems to have defied all solutions.

“We are talking about the latest discovery of an oral drug made from plants extraction in Nigeria for the possible cure of the pandemic, HIV and AIDS virus,” he said.

Mr. Ibeh said research on the project started in 2010 and culminated in the development of “Deconcotion X (DX)–Liquid or Bioclean 11 for the cure of HIV and AIDS”.

He said that while the existing retroviral drugs are intervention drugs for the management of AIDS, the new discovery is a possible cure.

“We have tried to look at the product first; its toxicological analysis and discovered that it has a large safety margin. This means that if animals or human beings are exposed to it, they will not suffer any serious harm at all from the exposure.

“It also helped us to know the quantity we can conveniently give to animals and will feel secure that nothing untoward will happen. We have also done the bacteriological analysis on it, after which we looked at its effect on the virus and the result was quite revealing and refreshing.”

Mr. Ibeh also said that the drug had been exposed to series of medical examination both in Nigeria and in the USA.

He added that the drug had performed well on patients with the HIV virus and had shown evidence of total restoration of damaged tissues.

“The result showed an increase in the body weight of the individual administered with DX,” he said. “The body weight was statistically significant when compared with the control group.”

He said that further tests were being conducted to determine the point at which “a patient becomes negative after being administered the drug?”

“This verification is necessary because it is what is used to measure whether infection is still there or not. So we need to know the siro-convention time.

“But preliminary results showed that of the five latest patients orally administered with the drugs, our findings is that up to seven months , three of them were siro negative while two were sill faintly positive,” he said.

Mr. Ibeh appealed for support from the Federal Government and relevant bodies to assist the university with relevant equipment to sustain the research.

Four Friends Rape Single Lady; Records the Act With BlackBerry

A single lady believed to be in her early twenties has been raped to an unconscious state by four friends around Cemetery Road in Warri, a popular town in Delta State.

The victim, who is now battling for her life in an undisclosed hospital, was said to have boarded a taxi cab with four male passengers from Odion Road to her residence in Aguowe Street, Off Mac Demot Road.

The driver suddenly took a different direction towards Cemetery Road to the chagrin of the victim. The victim said she challenged the driver of the taxi but the other passengers drew a dagger and threatened to kill her if she raised any alarm.

They, thereafter, drove down to a storey building on the Cemetery Road where the miscreants had a field day raping the victim until she became unconscious.

However, luck ran out on them as the matter was reported to the Quick Response Squad of the Delta State Police Command in Warri, who swung into action and arrested three suspects - Akpofure, Seih and Obrakpo - all of Nos. 24, 64 and 66, Cemetery Road, Warri.
Public Relations Officer of the command, ASP Famous Ajieh, who confirmed the arrests in Asaba yesterday, stated that the police were currently on the trail of the fourth suspect, one Ebeme.

Ajieh said the arrested suspects had confessed to the crime, adding that one Black Berry phone used by the suspects in recording the rape action was recovered.

(READ)An Open Letter To Tonto Dikeh From An Igbo Man

Dear Tonto Dikeh,

I know you feel beautiful this morning! Well, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. For me, you are nowhere near ‘beautiful’. You are just there. But before I tell you what I really want to tell you, I need to tell you something. There is a lady called Adele. She is a singer. She sings. I need to explain what a singer means, because I understand that you have no brain at all. Because I hate sugar-coating, I am hated by a lot of people. You are just like me too. I will understand when people hate you, but, seriously, if you think Igbo men are nosy, then, you are right. That is your opinion and you must protect it.

I am an Igbo man. I will defend myself right now. Back to Adele. I will tell you everything about this young lady who transformed herself into something very beautiful in the eyes of men. I also understand that you don’t know her, but it won’t hurt if I tell you about her now. This is what TIME magazine wrote about her few days ago: “As talented and appealing as she is, few could foresee how utterly dominant Adele would be in 2011: in an era where even the highest-tier musical acts can struggle to move records, her sophomore effort, 21, sold 17 million copies worldwide and spent 16 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, the longest for any record since 1998's Titanic sound track. Combined with sales of her previous album, 19, Adele has topped the U.K. charts for 21 weeks — a feat matched only by the bands Oasis and Queen.” Tonto nne m, Adele is 23. You are older. She is not worried about her future. You are. She is focused about her music.

You are worried that no Igbo man will marry you after you’ve created yourself into a bamboo stick. Truth is that I don’t know you personally, but you’ve created a strong mystery around yourself. People see you as a soul from hell. They say you’ve sold your soul to the devil. Me, I don’t know where the devil lives, but I think you have. You even went ahead to show us tattoos at your back. I just didn’t understand why you did that. As an Igbo man, I will never marry a woman who has shown the entire world ‘my tattoos.’ It is not good. I am an Igbo man, so I will
need to know who snapped the picture. Maybe, your secret boyfriend? This is the reason why we are bad, abi? Adele doesn’t go around seeking attention. She doesn’t pay anyone to publish pictures of her tattoos. Who knows? She may just have a lot of them. I haven’t seen them. I have seen yours.

There is nothing wrong in you tattooing your entire body, but what is my business with that? Are you not supposed to be an actress? Of course, I understand that you appear in pornographic films now? That is good. At least, you are doing what you know best. But to pick on Igbo men? This is very unacceptable. You insulted a lot of us. This simply shows how unintelligent you are towards anthropology. Men are the same all over the world. Igbo man, Yoruba man, Hausa man. We all treat women in similar ways. We love unconditionally. And we all become nosy when our women start acting like you. If your father is an Igbo man, dearest Tonto Dikeh, you are a monkey. But I will be sorry if you didn’t say that. I only rely on the media, since I don’t know you
personally. If you didn’t say it, Tonto, I am very sorry. I will publicly apologise. Yet, I believe you did, because you do so many things after marijuana. If it’s not good for your brain, stop smoking. Listen to Adele’s Someone Like You and you will feel good.

I don’t look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Onyeka Nwelue

Revealed-Why D'banj Dumped Genevieve

"It wasn't an easy decision but it must be made because the babe was becoming too domineering and could be very arrogant most times", this was the first thing a source told Olufamous.com when inquiry was made with regards to who dumped who between Koko Master, D'banj and Actress Genevieve Nnaji.

The insider source, who said he was there when the duo started their love affair after meeting for a few days, said D'banj really loved Genevieve and wanted to marry her despite the fact she already has a daughter.

"I think it was an ego thing on her part," he stressed, while adding that "she always complain of too many ladies around D'banj as if she doesn't know the nature of his job as an entertainer. D'banj tried his best!".

When Olufamous.com reminded him the Koko Master himself said he doesn't know who dumped who and how their affair ended, the source said, "you should know D'banj is a nice person by all standards, he doesn't really like the idea of hurting people no matter what you do to him.....he was just trying to protect her, even Genny knows the truth."

The source further said D'banj has found true love and "they are happy together". He refused to give a name.

Ferdinand: “no medals handed out yet”

Rio Ferdinand has praised Robin van Persie, but says Manchester United have to keep up a high level to win trophies this season.

After seven trophy-less seasons with the Gunners, Van Persie's first season with United is proving the right move.
The Dutchman took his tally to 19 goals, after a brace in United's 4-0 win over Wigan on New Year's Day, but Ferdinand admits there are greater rewards at stake than just sheer weight of goals.
The United centre-back said: "Robin is an important player.
"The manager saw something in him and made it his mission to buy him this summer.
"At the moment, thankfully, he is doing what he came here to do.
"He is not only scoring goals. He holds the ball up well and brings others into play. He does a fantastic job.
"But we are not at the end of the season yet. No medals have been handed out.
"We don't want to jump about too much. Up to now he has done fantastically well. But the job is still there to be done."
Ferdinand praised his United side, he added: "Winning the league is down to a group of players rather than one individual," said the former England star.

"But it is easy for people to settle in here.
"We have a great bunch of players and there is a great ambience in the squad.
"It is a great place to come to if you are willing to come in, work hard and be a member of the team."
Now with a seven-point lead over Manchester City, after last year's startling collapse when United lost a bigger lead in a shorter space of time, Ferdinand does not want his team's focus to drop.
He said: "Last year was the first time City had challenged properly and there was a lot of focus on Manchester.
"But we have to make sure we keep our own house in order, make sure we keep ticking off the games.
"There is no point us focusing on anyone but ourselves."

The Secrets God Showed Me for 2013 –TB Joshua

Prophet T.B. Joshua released an intriguing list of prophetic messages in his church service on Monday 31st December 2012, subsequently re-posted on his official Facebook page, ‘TB Joshua Ministries’.

The expectation in the service for Joshua’s prophetic vision for 2013 was palpable, especially with the news that he had just returned from a three day period of fasting and prayer at an unknown ‘mountain’ in Nigeria.

Prophet Joshua has a large repertoire of past prophecies that have come to pass.

Testimonies preceded his arrival, including that of Hon Ken Emeakayi, a politician from Anambra State, who recounted how he was miraculously rescued from hired assassins after ministering ‘Anointing Water’ someone had given him, despite his disbelief and skeptical impression of Joshua’s ministry.
Similarly, Chief Chika Okpala, a veteran Nigerian comedian popularly known as ‘Chief Zebrudaya Okoroigwe Nwogbo alias 4:30’, testified with his family how his brother’s wife was released from kidnappers after he had visited Joshua’s church for prayers and used his ‘Anointing Water’.

Dr Joseph Ayoola explained how he was saved from a severe form of depression and suicidal tendencies through Joshua’s prayer and prophecy followed by a subsequent regeneration in his medical career and re-accreditation of his hospital that had closed down due to his problems. Then, an American ex-military man who travelled from Germany to Nigeria explained how he had been mysteriously paralysed from waist down for nearly a year before coming to Joshua for prayers. He walked in the midst of the congregation, testifying that he had received a 'miracle’ from Jesus Christ as doctors had told him he would never walk again.

Loud applause heralded Joshua’s arrival in the service, and he went straight into the prophecy for the year, stating that people wished to hear the mind of God for the upcoming year. “2013 is a year of surprises. I am seeing many great, famous, popular and rich men and politicians will become helpless and in need of help in matters of sickness, disease, finances, death, etc,” he said in the service broadcast live on the popular Christian station Emmanuel TV. “One of the causes: They have failed to reward those who helped them to succeed. This is the year of judgment, especially for politicians who use youth to support their political ambitions without reward after winning power.”

Joshua then proceeded to celebrate the future of farming, claiming that providence would favour those who engaged in it this year. “Those in the foodstuff business will have a field day this year. Farming and agriculture will be the order of the day and will help greatly to be the source of solution this year. People engaged in it will be greatly blessed.”

Joshua, speaking to the thousands who had gathered in his church to usher in the New Year, counselled young people who spent vast resources of energy, time and finances in the pursuit of foreign travel to rather invest in agriculture. “They will achieve greatness by transacting in agriculture and foodstuff and become successful in export and import business.”

He further advised couples dissatisfied with their current occupations to allow one of them to pursue a career in agronomy. “Those who have been working for many years and have never been satisfied with the job and salary they receive, the little limited resources at their disposal should be invested in foodstuff business or agriculture, especially those already married. They should divide themselves in such a way that either the husband or wife should step down from service where they receive salary and face agriculture.”

Joshua was emphatic in his conviction that such actions would reap great rewards, stating it was a secret God had revealed to him. “Foodstuff business and agriculture or farming are anointed businesses this New Year, to revive the world from economic depression. This is the secret of God revealed to you today. Quote me; you will not regret doing it. My name is T.B. Joshua.”

Additionally, Joshua predicted that natural disasters would continue to abound, alongside accidents on land, sea and air. He proclaimed that faithful Christians would receive answers to prayers, especially in the area of couples seeking for the fruit of the womb. Joshua called on people to engage in charitable activities, especially in provision of scholarships to deserving young people. “Share their pain and share their joy. This year, there is great reward in doing this if you do it with all your heart.”

He concluded by advising people to stop the habit of praying against enemies. “Stop praying against those who hurt you. This year, you will see clearly that God is God of vengeance. Instead, you should pray for them.

Joshua stated that he would be revealing further prophetic messages for the international community and world leaders in subsequent services. He then prayed for the congregation, including the thousands who had gathered in huge overflow tents outside, decreeing that 2013 would be a year where ‘new dreams come true’ for genuine Christians.

Battle of supremacy: Please tell me my offence – Theodore Orji begs Kalu

Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State on Wednesday begged the people of the State to ask what he did to his predecessor and former political godfather, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu that he doesn’t want him to rule the state in peace.
Orji disclosed that he had painstakingly searched his conscience and found out that he had not offended the ex Governor from the time he served as his Chief of Staff till the time he left the party, Progressive Peoples Party (PPA).
The Governor made this known during a media chat in Umuahia, Abia State capital that he couldn’t actually point out what he did to Kalu that he had been ‘fighting’ his government since he founded the PPA.
Orji said: “I challenge you, some of you are his friend, ask him to tell you what I did to him. Please, ask him to tell you one bad thing he can point at from the time I was Chief of Staff till the time I left PPA, as the wrong I did to him. But I have a litany of the wrongs he did to me.
“I am the only Governor who has been given a query, even on the pages of newspapers. Let him tell you one bad thing I did to him. Let him tell you, just one bad thing.”

My dad impregnated me, aborted it twice – Teenager.father says 'I did it to appease the gods'

The Human Right department of Ilemba Hausa Police Division, in Ojo area of Lagos has arrested a 49- year-old man who allegedly had been having carnal knowledge of his teenaged daughter for five years.
It was discovered during investigation that his daughter Janet(not real name)got pregnant in the process twice, only for her father to allegedly abort the pregnancy with the aid of a herbalist.
Sitting at a corner in the Human Rights Office, 17-year-old Janet could not raise her head to face her father, Wale Akinusi, who was also there. When approached, she simply stated that at last, she had been freed from the psychological trauma associated with her father’s sacrilegious act.

Crime Alert gathered that Janet’s tale of woe started after her mother abandoned her barely when she was two-year-old for her paternal grandmother.

It was gathered that her mother who was then a Junior Secondary 3 student, was impregnated by Wale who was 32 years old. Initially, he reportedly denied paternity of the pregnancy but later opted for an abortion on the ground that he could not afford to father a child then because he was only an apprentice.

But his mother came to the rescue as she offered to take care of the baby who turned out to be Janet.

But when she was 12, her father, reportedly took her from her grandmother, with a promise to give her a better education.

Rather than live up to his promise, her father, allegedly use her to satisfy his sexual urge, a practice that went on until he was arrested.

Narrating how it all started, Janet in her sitting position with her head bowed all through, said: “When I was leaving my grandmother’s house, I was happy because my father said I would be attending a better school. But I waited for months without being enrolled in any school.

“One night, then, I was 12,my dad called me into his room and told me he took an oat with my mother to be the first man to have sex with me. He said it had a spiritual connotation and that it was to enable him assume his proper financial state.

“Then, I was too young to understand what he meant. He had carnal knowledge of me that night. At a point, he asked if it was painful. All I did was to watch him have his way, still unable to understand what he was doing.”

First pregnancy aborted by a herbalist

“It continued until I was 14 years. Then, I started having a funny feeling. I told him I was sick and when we conducted a pregnancy test, it was positive. Next day, he told me we were going somewhere and we ended up in the home of a herbalist in Ikorodu, who gave me some concoction. I drank some in his apartment and took the rest home. After two days, my menstruation started and my father assured me all was well.

He only gave me a week’s break before he continued all over again. Two years later, when I was 16 years, I got sick again. When I informed daddy, we went for another pregnancy test which confirmed my fear; I was pregnant again!

When he returned next day from his shop, he told me there was no need to go to the herbalist. Rather he gave me two sachets of Alabukun and squeezed some lime juice into a cup, asking me to take it in a gulp. It did the magic and the menstrual flow started few days later.”

“After the second abortion, I became tired of the whole thing. I started being afraid every night. At times, I would put tissue paper under my panties , pretending I was witnessing my monthly flow. After a while, he got the trick, for he started taking note of the date.

Challenges father

“I summoned courage and reported the sacrilegious act to our neighbors. But none of them could confront him. Rather they told me they could not interfere into our family affair” , she stated, with her head still bent.

Apparently discouraged by the cold reaction from the neighbors, Janet decided to take the bull by the horn. Looking straight into his father’s eyes for the very first time since the sacrilegious act started, she told her father she was tired of the whole thing. To make do her threat, she reportedly rushed to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and threatened to stab him if he attempted to force her.

“This happened on November 28, 2012. My father had come home from his shop . And at about 6pm, he called me inside to warm his bed. But when he saw the knife, he retraced his steps. I quickly ran inside my room , with the knife in my hand and packed my things out of the house, to stay with a friend whose family welcomed me after I narrated all that has been going on in the past five years.”

“After spending three weeks with them, I received a text message from my father, asking me to come home, or I would die. When I showed the text message to the family I was putting up with, they suggested I reported the case to the police. I hesitated at first because I was scared he would be jailed.  “But I changed my mind when the text message threat continued”, she said.

I did that to appease the gods – father

When approached, it was obvious that 49-year-old Wale Akinusi, a fashion designer who hails from Ondo central in Ondo state was oblivious of the legal implication of the offense, as he showed no sign of remorse.
He bluntly told this reporter that what he did was not new under the sun, adding that this would not be the first time such story would be published on the pages of newspapers.

“It is not a new thing that a man has sex with his daughter and even if I am jailed at the end, I will surely come out after serving my jail term. But I promise that my daughter will join me” he threatened, dismissing the issue with a wave of the hand.

Continuing, he said: “I went back to claim my child so as to fulfill the oat made between her mother and I. That was why I took her to the herbalist when she was pregnant, so as to appease the gods of her mother’s land. You will not understand.  “You see, when her mother was six months pregnant, we made love. She later told me that it was a taboo for a man to sleep with a pregnant woman in her place. She said the only remedy was for the man to be the first person to sleep with the child.

“I initially did not want to do it. But along the line, I discovered that things were not going on well with me financially. And when I made inquiry, I was made to understand that I had to appease the god’s of her mother’s land, so as to attain my rightful place in destiny.”  Asked why he continued after the first time, he kept mute. Also asked why he did not satisfy his sexual urge on his wife who has had four children for him, he explained that they were leaving apart.

“My wife lives in Ketu with the children while I live in Ojo. I had to live apart because I do not want my wife and children to suffer the consequences of my sin. Also I did not want my wife to know I was sleeping with my own daughter”, he said. Meanwhile, effort according to sources at the Human Rights department, was on to arrest the herbalist who allegedly gave Janet the concoction that aborted her first pregnancy, while her father would be charged to court.
